The National Highway Authority of India’s (NHAI) pace of road construction has increased fourfold in the last five months, as 80 percent of the obstacles impeding progress have been rectified.

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has restarted work on the proposed flyover near Ganesha Point, in front of the Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) complex in Tiruverumbur on the Tiruchi-Thanjavur highway.

Attributed to the reason that two major road projects in the city are incomplete and running behind schedule, commuters are experiencing difficulties as they are forced to take longer routes to their destinations.
